About Us

Having qualified at Brighton University, I chose to work independently. I felt that the pressures of working in the NHS would not allow me to provide continuous, one-to-one care for pregnant women in a way that supports the essentially normal healthy processes of pregnancy, birth and early parenting.

I have two children of my own, Ed, born 13 years ago in a hospital and James, born 9 years ago at home, into the gentle hands of an independent midwife.

I support home birth, water birth and vaginal birth after a previous caesarian (VBAC) as well as offering “doula” support if you choose to give birth at a hospital.

Fiona Grey, also an Independent Midwife works with me when attending a home birth. You meet her a few times during pregnancy to ensure that you are comfortable with her. Her website can be found at www.fionagrey.co.uk
