Many thanks for again for all your hard work and help you gave us during the birth of our daughter on the 12th February. I can’t tell you enough how helpful you were. During the whole time I felt relaxed and totally reassured with you being there. |

Welcome to Juno birthIndependent midwifery provides you with flexible, one-to-one care, adapted to your needs, through the transitions of pregnancy, birth and afterwards. You and your partner are active participants in decision-making about birth and early parenting. At each appointment we devote time to discussing nutrition, exercise, wellbeing, birth preparation and newborn care. Midwives are required to be trained and skilled in detecting any deviations from normal in both mother and baby. In such situations and with your consent, we would refer to an appropriate physician. When labour begins, your midwife will support and care for you until your baby is born, in whichever setting you choose. The professional relationship formed with you during pregnancy provides a strong foundation to enable the normal, healthy processes of giving birth. In the first weeks of your baby's life your midwife will make regular visits to ensure that you receive the support you need with breastfeeding and early parenting. Informed choice is a fundamental principle of midwifery care in and is an important part of antenatal visits. It is my role to provide you with the information and evidence necessary to make choices for you and your family however you are the primary decision-maker, in control of your own care. |
